Lee A. Marshall Memorial Award

The Lee A. Marshall Award was established in 2018 by her loved ones to honor the memory and life of Lee Marshall. Lee was a proud member of the  Our Lady of Victory Catholic School Staff for 14 years. She was a kind and caring person who exemplified what it means to a good Catholic. As a strong believer of the Golden Rule, “treat others as you want to be treated,” Lee always encouraged inclusive and fair play among the children she worked with.

The Lee Marshall Award is given to a 4th or 5th grade student who exhibits positive leadership and sportsmanship skills exhibited during recess, PE class, and throughout their school day. The student is seen as an excellent role model, displaying values of kindness and compassion while welcoming all to play. The recipient is chosen by the classroom aides who see the traits in action.

Awardees receive a $500 tuition scholarship for the next academic year.

 

OLVCS Sacrifice and Commitment-Sportsmanship Award

This award was established by the OLVCS Athletic Council in 2007 and is given to an OLVCS Middle School student-athlete who has displayed exemplary sportsmanship and commitment to their school and team. Coaches nominate students for consideration of the award. The Athletic Council reviews all nominations and​ the pastor and principal make the selection. There is a male and female winner of this award, and awardees receive a $500 tuition scholarship for the next academic year.

 

Matthew Weakland Award

This award was established in 1995 to honor the memory of Matthew Weakland, a graduate of OLVCS. This award is presented each year to a 7th grade student who exhibits outstanding Christian character and citizenship and has excelled in their moral and spiritual growth. The student is chosen by the staff and administration of OLVCS, and the awardee receives a $200 tuition scholarship for the next academic year.

 

Raymond Regan Memorial Award

This award was established in 2017. Raymond Wesley Regan, Sr. was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church for 45 years. Eight of his children graduated from Our Lady of Victory Catholic School. He was a strong supporter of our school and a defender of the Catholic Faith.  This award serves as a memorial for Mr. Regan and his love for the Catholic Faith to be lived through our youth and is given to a Middle School student.

The recipient is given this award because he or she exhibits the qualities of faith, determination, caring, service and integrity which are needed to live according the the teachings of the Catholic Faith. The recipient is chosen by the faculty, with input from the Regan family. The awardees receives a $400 tuition scholarship for the next academic year.

 

Spirit of OLV Award

The Spirit of OLV Award is given to a boy and girl in the 8th grade class who has best exhibited Christian character, attitudes, and values throughout their school years at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School. OLVCS faculty and staff make nominations and vote to select the recipients of this award.
