    The OLVCS Snow Sports Club is traveling to Montage Mountain Resort on Sunday, February 4, 2024 for a day of snow sports. This trip is for OLVCS Snow Sport Club members and their families.  Please read and follow the steps below to register your student for this fun trip.  Questions?  Contact Mrs. Lauren Waltz at waltzl@olvcs.org. 

    REGISTRATION:

    Complete the following THREE steps to register your student for this trip:

    Step 1: Complete the online form

    Complete one copy of the online form for each student. For example, if you are signing up two students, complete the form two times.

    Step 2: Download, print, and complete paper forms


    Step 3:     Submit Forms and Payment to the School Office
    Submit the following to the school office by Friday, January 26, 2024 in an envelope labeled with "Montage Trip/ <Your Student's Name>".  

    • Completed Fee Form
    • Completed Permission Slip
    • Payment (Checks should be made payable to "OLVCS" with "Montage Trip" on memo line.


    NOTE: NO late payments/registrations will be accepted.  No refunds.


    GENERAL INFORMATION:
    **Be sure to read, as some features of this trip have changed from last year.**

    1. OLVCS Snow Sports Club members in 3rd - 8th grade who are in good academic standing.

    2. At the resort, OLVCS students in grades 3 - 4 must also be accompanied by a designated adult, who is not a OLVCS chaperone.  If this student rides the bus, the designated adult does NOT have to.  But, the adult must be at the resort for the student to participate.

    3. Students who participate WITHOUT a designated adult MUST BE an intermediate skier or snowboarder.  For example, the student must be able to ski or snowboard down Utah at Tussey Mountain.  If you are unsure of your student's skill level, please, contact Mrs. Waltz BEFORE you submit your registration forms and payment.

    4. Students who participate WITH a designated adult (eg. students in grades 3 - 4) must have their designated adult with them on the slopes, when they are skiing or snowboarding.

    5. Family members of OLVCS participants may purchase lift tickets and rentals at the discounted rate (see fee form above). 

    6. All OLVCS students and accompanying family members are eligible to ride the bus.  Space is limited; first come, first served.  Bus transportation fee is $15 per person.

    7. Required forms and payment (see above) must be submitted by Friday, January 26, 2024 for a student to participate in this event.  Students should submit their forms/payment to the OLVCS office. 

    8. No late payments or registrations will be accepted. No refunds.

    9. On the day of the trip, participants should arrive by 6:45AM at the OLVCS back parking lot. The bus will leave PROMPTLY at 7:00 AM and will not wait for students who arrive after 7:00 AM. 

    10. Club members should plan to ski/snowboard at Montage from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

    11. Each student will be responsible for
      • Purchasing his/her own lift ticket, and/or ski/snowboard rental, and/or helmet rental
      • Paying bus fee
      • Purchasing or packing their own lunch (if purchasing, it is recommended that student bring about $40)
      • Paying for incidental expenses (if applicable) 
      • Paying locker rental (if applicable)
      • Packing a dinner (Bus will NOT stop for dinner.)
         
    12. The bus will return to OLVCS between 7:00-8:00 PM, depending on road conditions and traffic.

    13. Bus seating space is limited. To reserve a seat, all forms and payments must be received.  Seats are reserved first come, first served.  Bus transportation fee is $15 per person.  

    14. No student should ski or board without a buddy at any time. Helmets are mandatory and all school rules apply. 

    15. Mrs. Waltz and 2-3 adult volunteers will accompany the students on the bus. Other parents are welcome to follow the bus to enjoy the day with the Snow Sport Club.
