• Our Lady of Victory Catholic School
    COVID Response for SY2021-2022

    (Updated 12/12/2021)

The Our Lady of Victory Catholic School Health and Safety Plan has been approved by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. This plan details OLVCS's COVID mitigation policies and procedures for SY 2021-2022 for all faculty, staff, volunteers, and students in our school and school activities, preschool through grade 8.

    Health and Safety Plan
The OLVCS Health and Safety Plan was created in light of local, state, and federal health agency guidelines, as well as the guidelines of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Education Office. To view this Plan, click here or the link in the navigation bar.

Key Points About Face Coverings at OLVCS

    • While masking/face coverings are optional under our approved Plan, OLVCS students and faculty should wear a mask/face covering in the following situations:
      • During arrival and dismissal
      • When working in small groups for 15 minutes or longer
      • In the hall during class change/when moving about the school building in large groups.
    • Students must wear masks while riding in school buses and van, as this is still required by federal regulations.
    • Parents are asked to help students remember to have a mask/face covering at school, so that it is available for the above situations.
    • Students will not be sent home, removed from class, or disciplined for not wearing a mask.

Our continuing goal at OLVCS is to provide in-person instruction in a safe environment. OLVCS is grateful for our school families' patience and understanding as we work through the changes and challenges of the lingering COVID pandemic for our school. Questions about OLVCS's COVID Response may directed to Mr. Terry Stec at stect@olvcs.org.
