Our Lady of Victory Catholic School
Remote Learning Program
Learning at Home When In-Person Instruction Is Available
While at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School (OLVCS) we believe that there is no substitute for in-person instruction and education, we also realize that a robust remote learning program is essential for the continued education of students enrolled at OLVCS who are unable to join their classmates in the classroom because of COVID-19 concerns. As a result, in consultation with elementary and secondary education experts, the OLVCS faculty and administration have created a dynamic Remote Learning Program (RLP) for SY 2020-2021.
The OLVCS RLP meets the grade-level educational requirements set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown Office of Education. Further, the OLVCS RLP builds on the successes and challenges that our faculty and students experienced with remote instruction in Spring 2020 and uses the power of Schoology to enable our teachers to better meet our remote students’ needs.
