    Volunteering at OLV Preschool

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone,
and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
    Galatians 6:10

Parent/Guardian Volunteers

  • Volunteering at OLV Preschool is a great way to be involved in your child's experience at OLV Preschool. Parents/guardians, grandparents, and other adult family members are welcome to volunteer!

Each year, adult volunteers assist with a variety of tasks and events, including:

    • In-classroom activities
    • School-wide activities
    • OLV Preschool Council
    • Libary
    • Walk-A-Thon and other fundraising events
    • And many more!

Download the OLV Preschool Volunteer Form for a list of standing volunteer opportunities. We also welcome indivduals who would like to volunteer their time and talents in other ways not listed on this form.

To volunteer at OLV Preschool, parents/guardians should complete the OLV Preschool Volunteer Form and send it in to the school office. In follow-up, a member of the OLV Preschool staff and/or another OLV Preschool volunteer will contact you.

All volunteers must compete the requirements of the Youth Protection Program and submit the required clearances before beginning activities at OLV Preschool.

Student Volunteers

  • OLV Preschool invites high school and college-level students with a strong interest in early childhood education to volunteer at our school.

Student-volunteer activities will be assigned based on the administration and staff needs. These generally include helping with student supervision in the classroom, assisting with school-wide events, and providing administrative support.

We also welcome student-volunteers who have a special talent that they would like to share to benefit our students.

Many students use their volunteer hours to fulfill their school's or church's service hour requirement.

Volunteering at OLV Preschool may satisfy formal internship requirements of a student's school or educational program. Students seeking such credit should have approval from their academic advisor before beginning a volunteer internship with OLV Preschool.

High school and college-level students interested in volunteering at OLV Preschool should send an email of interest to the OLV Preschool Director, that includes a brief statements of how he/she would like to contribute to OLV Preschool.

All volunteers must compete the requirements of the Youth Protection Program and submit the required clearances before beginning activities at OLV Preschool.
