    Fundraising

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School conducts fundraising activities to offset the cost of need-based scholarships, educational supplies, OLVCS student activities and field trips.  Below is a short description of OLVCS fundraising activities.

    All School Fundraiser:

The Exercise for Education Walkathon is OLVCS’ only mandatory fundraiser.  This event takes place in October, on the Feast of Our Lady of Victory (also known as Our Lady of the Rosary). Each OLVCS family is asked to raise at least $200.  Businesses are also solicited for donations.

    OLVCS Athletic Program Fundraiser:

The OLVCS athletic program is self-supporting.  Funding for the Athletic Program is raised in three main ways, including the Victory 5K.  This event takes place in May.

    Other Ways to Help OLVCS:

    • Attend the OLV Bazaar: The OLV Bazaar is an annual event that includes food, children’s games, raffles, silent auction, and a Christmas boutique.  The OLV Bazaar usually takes place in early November.  The public is welcome to attend.  Proceeds from this event go to both OLVCS and OLV Preschool.

    • Collect Box Tops for Education Labels:  These labels may be found on many of your family’s favorite products.  Students may bring in the labels to the OLVCS office at anytime. OLVCS will send in these labels and be compensated 10 cents per label.

    • Sign up with Giant Foods A+Rewards:  This is an easy way to raise funds for Our Lady of Victory Catholic School.  Once a shopper registers his/her Giant Bonuscard at the A+ Rewards site, each time he/she shops at Giant, a portion of the purchase price will be donated to OLVCS.  Shoppers may direct the A+ Rewards to go to up to two schools. The school code for OLVCS is 01049.  The school code for St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy is 06468.   NOTE: Shoppers must reactivate their A+ Rewards each school year.

    • Purchase Items from Scholastic:  OLVCS participates in the Scholastic Reading Club and hosts a Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week (last week of January).  A new flyer is given to students each month.  Purchases may be made through your student’s teacher or online.  The items are delivered to the school and brought home by the student.  A portion of the Scholastic purchase is donated to OLVCS.
