Instrumental Music Teachers
At Our Lady of Victory Catholic School students may take band and string instrument lessons and gain experience performing with their instruments in a group. Below is a list of the Instrumental Music Program teachers. For information about the cost for lessons or the practice schedule, please, contact the specific teacher directly.
Mrs. Sandy Muller
Teacher, OLVCS Crusader Band (grades 3-8)
Mrs. Muller earned her BA in Music Education from the University of Illinois and has PA Teaching Certificate in Music (K-12). Before coming to OLVCS, she taught band at the Thomasboro Grade School in Thomasboro, IL. She was the full time music teacher at OLV from 1996-2000. Since 2001, Mrs. Muller has also taught private lessons for a variety of instruments. She has grown the OLVCS Band program from 30 students up to 55 students. She also offers private instruction in piano. Mrs. Muller enjoys going on hikes with her husband and three daughters and two dogs.
Mrs. Patrese Huff
Teacher, Kinderstrings and Junior Strings (K-3)
Mrs. Huff earned a BA in Music Education with an Elementary Music Certificate from Utah State University and has a PA Teaching Certificate in Music (K-12). She has completed advanced training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, including Violin Suzuki Teacher Training through Book 4. Mrs. Huff has taught privately for 30 years, and has been teaching at OLV since 2006. She performs locally with the Altoona Symphony. Mrs. Huff focuses her life on her family and her faith. She enjoys being outdoors with her husband and four grown children. She enjoys sharing her love through music with the children of OLV.
Mrs. Hannah Lin-Glessner
Teacher, OLV Strings (grades 4-8)
Mrs. Glessner earned a BME in Music Education from Penn State and has a PA Teaching Certificate in Music (K-12). She received an MM in Suzuki Pedagogy from Ithaca College, where she completed long-term Suzuki teacher training (through all ten Suzuki violin books). While at Ithaca College, Mrs. Glessner taught beginner strings to undergraduate music education students in a graduate assistantship. She has also taught at Juniata College, the State College Suzuki Program, and in her private studio.
