    ASAP Crusader Crew

    All boys and girls who attend ASAP are invited to join the ASAP Crusader Crew.  This is an option within the ASAP program for January 2023. (Your student is not enrolled in ASAP?  Not a problem...see below)

    What will the Crusader Crew do?

    1, Meet 2:45-4PM on all Tuesdays in January 2023.  During the session, students practice basketball ball handing activities (ie. dribbling), learn about the game of basketball and basketball cheers, and create posters and flyers to support our Crusaders!  They will also learn a ball handling routine that they will perform at half time at a Crusader games (see below). Tuesday sessions will take place in the OLV Activities Center.  At the end of each, students will return to the school building for pick-up/further ASAP care.

    2. Cheer for our Crusader teams at the following 4PM HOME games (Games usually last until 4:50PM):

    • January 4 (boys game)
    • January 13 (girls game)
    • January 19 (boys game)
    • January 30 (boys game)
    • February 2 (girls game)

     

    3. Perform a half-time dribbling/ball handling show at the HOME games on

    • January 30
    • February 2*

    *On February 2nd, there are two games scheduled.  We will for sure do a show at 4PM girls game.  If there is enough interest, we'll do the show at the 5PM boys game, too.  Parents will be notified of the plan by email closer to the date.

    NOTE: Students must attend at least 3 of the Tuesday meetings (held before the day of the show) to be eligible to perform at a half-time show. 


    Is there an additional ASAP fee for Crusader Crew?
    No.  Parents will be charged standard ASAP fee for time attending Crusader Crew activities. Crusader Crew is part of ASAP. 

    NOTE: While on game days, Crusader Crew will last until the end of the game (around 4:50PM), parents who immediately pick up their child at the end of the game will only be charged for ASAP until 4:30PM.
