Early Dismissal Procedures
In the event of an early dismissal, parents will be notified of the time that our school will be dismissing via the School Messenger system. Parents/guardians will receive emails, texts, and/or automated calls from the system. Students will be dismissed as described below:
ASAP
There is no ASAP on school days for which there is an early dismissal. All students must either ride the bus home or be picked up at their parent/guardian.
Bussing
Students who ride a SCASD bus will travel on their afternoon bus and be let off at their afternoon stop.
Parent pick-up
We will implement the same procedure as we currently do for regular after school parent pick up with the following adjustments:- Parents/guardians who are regularly in the "first group" should arrive at the first assigned time as announced in the the early dismissal communication.
- Parents/guardians in the "second group" should arrived at the second time as announced in the early dismissal communication.
- Parents/guardians who do not regularly use parent pick-up but have chosen this option for early dismissal should arrive at the school using the following:
- First letter of the student's LAST name is A-M: FIRST GROUP
- First letter of the student's LAST name is N-Z: SECOND GROUP
