Step 1: Make Pledge

  • Pledge payments may be payed as a one-time contribution or spread out over 1, 2, or 3 years. Below describes the two ways to make a pledge:

    1. Submit Your Pledge Online
Click on the link above to complete the online pledge formThis is OLV's preferred means to make your pledge.

    2. Send in Your Pledge Card
Click on the link above to download a pdf version of the pledge card. Submit your pledge card by putting it in the collection basket at mass or mailing/delivering it to the rectory:

NOTE: Once OLV receives your online pledge or pledge card, Mr. Chris Kirkpatrick will contact you by email to confirm your pledge and answer any questions you might have. A summary of your pledge and payment activity will be sent to you in December and June of each year, until your pledge is fullfilled.

Step 2: Make Pledge Payments

  • Once you have made a pledge (Step #1), follow the directions below to make your payments:

    Cash or Check
To make payment by check, make out the check to "Our Lady of Victory" and include "School Improvements Project" on the memo line.

To make a cash payment, enclose the cash in an envelope labeled with your name and "School Improvements Project."

Submit your payment by putting it in the collection basket at mass or by mailing/delivering it to:

Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church
    Attn: School Improvement Project
    830 Westerly Parkway
    State College, PA 16801

    Appreciated Stock
This can be an attractive option for individuals who are not currently in the position to make a donation by check or cash. A donation of marketable securities can generate a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock without triggering a gain. Further, the contribution is often deductible up to 30% of the donor's adjusted gross income, with a five year period to use any carryover.

To make arrangements to make a contribution in this way, please, contact Mr. Chris Kirpatrick, Director of Development.

NOTE: Individuals are strongly encouraged to consult with their tax and/or investment advisor before making this type of contribution.

    Transfer from an Eligible IRA
Individuals who are over 70 1/2 years old may be eligible to transfer up to $100,000 from an IRA directly to Our Lady of Victory for use in the School Improvements Project. This can be a strategic way to satisfy the required minimum distribution (RMD) obligation. Furthermore, the direct RMD transferred to OLV may lead to other tax benefits, including reducing social security tax and subsequent Medicare cost.

To make arrangements to make a contribution in this way, please, contact Mr. Chris Kirpatrick, Director of Development.

NOTE: Individuals are strongly encouraged to consult with their tax and/or investment advisor before making this type of contribution.
