Here are some helpful links to articles regarding a number of issues to help your child succeed in school this year. The articles provide general guidelines, but each child has their own strengths and challenges as well as developmental trajectory. AAP Recommended Sleep Time
Children ages 6-12 years of age should sleep 9-12 hours per night for optimal health and best learning conditions.

Screen Time Guidelines
Please Note: We do use technology in our classrooms, when appropriate, to educate and motivate our students. However, excessive screentime is unhealthy. All tools, when used properly, have their place and can encourage growth and development. Consider a home use schedule to limit the amount of screentime a child receives.

Being physically active is also a vital component for development. Make it fun!
