Our 2019 Team

    Reading Competition

This year's Reading Competition was held March 23, 2019, at Bald Eagle High School.  We are the Royal Readers, consisting of a team of 10 students from the 4th-6th grades.  Everyone gave their best, and I am proud of the work, effort, and good sportsmanship displayed by our students.  Unfortunately, we didn't win a tropy this year, but now that we have experience and know what to expect, we'll be even better prepared next year.  I want to give a huge thank you to the 3 parents who volunteered to be moderators or scorekeepers the day of the competition: Mrs. Stolberg, Mrs. Horgas, and Mrs. Foytack, and also to Mrs. Salada for helping me coach.  Most of all, I am thankful for the 10 students who read book after book on the list for months and then sat through countless quizzes and created their own for fellow team members.  We couldn't have done it without you.

We  will have a final shabang (party) in the library on Tuesday, Mar. 26, after school until 3:30.  No more quizzing; just lots of fun!
