• Attendance

All OLVCS students are expected to attend school every day it is in session. Below summarizes OLVCS requirements regarding attendance. More information about attendance can be found in the Parent/Student Handbook or by contacting the school office.

  • Students should arrive by 7:50 AM in order that they may have time to unpack their backpacks, get their school supplies ready, put items in their lockers, and be ready for a successful start of the school day.Students may arrive for the school day at OLVCS as early as 7:30AM.

  • Students who do not arrive by 7:55 AM must report to the school office with their parent/guardian to be signed in.

  • Dismissal begins at 2:30 PM. Students will be dismissed as designated by the parent/guardian on the student’s Transportation Form.

    Changes to Dismissal Plans
Parents/guardians must contact the school office directly with changes to dismissal plans, either by contacting the school office by phone by 1:30PM or submitting a signed note.  E-mail correspondence with a teacher, office staff or student is NOT acceptable and will not be honored by the administration.

  • If a student will be absent from school for any reason, Our Lady of Victory Catholic School requires that a parent/guardian contact the school by phone by 8:30 AM to inform school personnel of the student’s absence.

    Excused Absences
All student absences are considered unexcused until the school receives a signed, written excuse from the parent/guardian. A parent/guardian may provide up to 10 written excuses. After 10 excuses, additional documentation (e.g. doctor's note) must be provided.

    Unexcused Absences
Any absences that are not defined above are considered unexcused absences. Students who have unexcused absences and their parent/guardian will be required to meet with the administration. At the discretion of the administration, the student may not be permitted to make-up missed work and may not be eligible for re-enrollment.

    Planned Absences
A student’s parent/guardian must submit written notification of planned absences (i.e. Planned Absence Form) to the school office at least two weeks in advance of the anticipated absence.
