    Elementary School
     
    Each elementary homeroom has iPads for centers. Teachers also have access to borrow the elementary iPad cart or reserve the computer lab.
     
    Each 5th grade homeroom has a class set of Chromebooks stored in their classroom.
     
    Teachers incorporate apps like Spelling City, Google Docs, and more.
     
    Daily lessons are enhanced with interactive lessons on classroom Smart Boards
     
    Students enjoy weekly visits to the iMac Computer Lab for technology class where they learn the basics of computer science through programs like Code.org and Scratch Programming. Beginning in 1st grade, students build keyboarding skills through online keyboarding programs. All students are taught how to be a good digital citizen, learning about online safety, privacy and sharing.
     
    Students access online content from Pearson's Realize series and develop keyboarding skills through keyboarding programs, and more.
     
    Our youngest students reinforce mouse and keyboard skills through fun, interactive activities on Abcya.com.
  • Middle School 
     
    The middle school has a one-to-one device program. Students may take home their device with parent's permission. 
     
    All students have an OLVCS Google account, and iXL Math and Language Arts account, access to online textbooks through Pearson, and access to online grades in PowerSchool. 
     
    Peer editing in Google Drive creates a collaborative learning environment. Students use TI-89 Graphing Calculators and the Desmos graphing app and website to explore properties of linear, exponential, and quadratic functions.
